What is HRBP?
"HRBP" stands for Hampton Roads Black Pride. We are a new organization, founded here in the 7 cities of southern Virginia, bringing urban lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender businesses, people and communities together.
Mission
Our mission is to carve out the minority LGBT market in Hampton Roads; while also celebrating the community that currently exists with the surrounding cities and states.
Goals
Our goals are powerful, but yet accomplishable with the help of the community:
Create a comprehensive database of the LGBT community in Hampton Roads and surrounding cities
Unite and ignite the existing LGBT organizations
Create an ongoing website that list the events that will be taken place in the area post pride.
Acknowledge the people who are making widespread impacts in/for the black/minority LGBT community
Enable individuals and groups to begin new initiatives and events in the area, while also creating an audience for these endeavors.
